India's Rural Farmers to Trade on Multi Commodity Exchange
This article comes from Fast Company. My question is; if it is true, as Graham Baxter states, that this model provides insight to businesses operating across all markets about how they can aid development while fostering commercial success, how could this idea be translated to the markets for artistic and creative goods? It seems odd that though many artists hold socially liberal world views, they accept working in a market with limited outlets for distribution and with an even smaller consumer demographic. What are the ways in which art and its sale could be used to benefit development and generate social good? I’m excluding charitable efforts. The ideas I’m interested in are those which create mutually beneficial solutions for development and industry. Thoughts?
