George Condo @ The New Museum

This past year saw George Condo’s distinctive catalog of grotesque cartoon characters with their bug eyes and toothy grins thrust into the spotlight by way of a presentation at the Whitney Biennial and, more recently, a controversial album cover for Kanye West. But “George Condo: Mental States,” the first major conceptual survey of the artist’s work, which goes on display at the New Museum in January, offers a chance to engage more closely with this American maverick, whose career spans three decades.  (Read More)
